Little Boy Lost

A touching, Folk ballad about the search for one's place in this world.

Verse One

I guess I am unwanted, so I had to run away.
There must be a place to be beloved, at least I hope and pray.
I just want to be happy and I know if I keep the faith,
I’ll find that loving family, that magical place...
Called home.

Chorus

I’m a little boy lost and scared, all on my own.
Tryin’ to find that place to call my home.
It’s been a long, long road that I’ve roamed.
Is it all in my imagination, or is there a real destination,
For a little boy lost to call home.

Verse Two

Boy, this big ol’ world can be coldhearted, and make you feel oh, so small.
But the Good Book says the meek will be rewarded, and the least
will be made tall.
So, when I’m full of fear and I shed a tear, I know someone hears my call.
And Angels’ll give me that miracle that I dream of most of all...
Called home.

(Repeat Chorus)

(Solo)

Verse Three

Like a carousel of brightly colored horses, visions went ‘round in my head.
A dream of a home I have seen, as if I was being led.

Like a bright shining star in the darkness of night,
It beckoned me to follow to a sanctuary of Love and Light...
Called home.

Chorus

I was a little boy lost and scared, all on my own.
Tryin’ to find that place to call my home.
It’s been a long, long road that I’ve roamed.
It’s not all in my imagination, there really is a destination,
For a little boy lost to call home.
